Privacy Policy

What this site does and does not collect about you.

This is a personal blog. I collect as little about you as possible. This page explains what that means in practice.

No personal data collection

I do not ask you to create an account, and I do not collect personal information when you read this site. I do not sell, rent or share your data with anyone.

Email addresses

If you subscribe, I collect your email address for one purpose only: to alert you when a new post is published. It is not used for marketing, and it is never sold or shared. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by contacting me.

Analytics

To understand how many people read the site and which posts are useful, I use two traffic measurement services:

  • Google Analytics, which measures visits, pages viewed and the general location and device type of visitors. It may set cookies in your browser.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures traffic and performance without using cookies or tracking individual visitors across sites.

This information is aggregated and is used only to measure traffic. You can opt out of Google Analytics by using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Hosting and server logs

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type in order to serve pages and protect the site from abuse. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.

Embedded content and links

Some posts embed content from other services, such as YouTube or Instagram, or link to other sites, such as Amazon. Those services may set their own cookies or collect data when you load or click on their content. I have no control over this, so please refer to their privacy policies.

Site search runs entirely in your browser. What you type is not sent to me or to any third party.
